Mondex Corporation, a leader in research, advocacy, and restitution, is currently seeking a full-time Provenance Researcher Assistant based in Vienna, Austria, to add to its international team of historians, art provenance researchers and legal experts.  Working together seamlessly, we help clients worldwide to recover works of art looted during conflict periods, in particular the Second World War.

The Provenance Researcher Assistant in Vienna would assist our team on various provenance research projects regarding looted works of art, including conducting archival research, analysing archival materials, contributing to the maintenance and development of internal databases related to provenance research as well as scanning literature.

Required skills, qualifications and availability:

• MA in Art History
• Broad knowledge of 15th to 20th century European art
• Relevant experience in provenance research
• Relevant experience in archival and library research
• Excellent verbal and written skills in German and English
• Very proficient computer skills
• Proactive mentality
• Team player
• Accurate and reliable
• Available 32-40 hours per week
