ABOUT US

The FUTURAMA LAB is a unique art organization, that combines art projects with scientific reflections to innovate the ecological transformation. We develop and promote artistic creation with a focus on sustainability and the ecological change in our society.
The FUTURAMA LAB operates internationally with and for art institutions, municipalities, foundations, universities, cultural organizations and philanthropists. We are a non-profit organization, financed by public funding, private donors, sponsors and contractors.
Our organization is currently in its start-up phase. This first job position was created to take the organization up to the next level and support the director in this process.
Rainer Prohaska is an internationally experienced artist, art project manager and entrepreneur. He established his first start-up in 1988 and since 1999 he has worked on projects in the field of "Art and Sustainability".
The FUTURAMA LAB aims to be one of the leading institutions to support this era of ecological change. We are specialists in the creation and promotion of smart artistic concepts as well as in professional scientific reflection about the quality of their ecological impact.

ABOUT THE JOB

PROFILE
• ASSISTANCE: Support the director in any artistic and organizational matter to build the FUTURAMA LAB
• PUBLIC FUNDING: design and management of public funding applications in art, culture, research, ecology and science
• FUNDRAISING: design and management of private donor programs, business development activities, investor and donor relations
• PROJECT MANAGEMENT: coordination and realization of art projects, exhibitions, publications and other project-related art formats
• COMMUNICATION: design, copywriting and management of communication related activities, like mailings, newsletters, social media, websites and similar media, together with external partners
• STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: development and management of relationships with financial, strategic, media and creative partners
• TEAM LEAD: build, lead, manage and support teams for short and long term projects as well as for the organization itself
• ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT: management of operations and administrative tasks, financial reports, back-office

YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN
• at least 5 years or more in cultural management
• application design & proposal writing for public & private funding
• application design & proposal writing for science & research projects
• management of multiple large-scale projects & coordination of the related teams
• working hands-on, working independently & dealing with tight deadlines

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
• Perfect English and German speaking and writing
• Your working style is structured, you like to set priorities and get things done
• Project management, budgeting, calculation, content creation, copywriting, fundraising, stakeholder engagement and CAM.

CONDITIONS
• Gross salary: € 50.000 - 70.000,- per year, based on a full-time position, depending on your experience
• Job position: part-time (32 hours/week)
• Working language: German and English
• Setting: hybrid, with headquarter in Vienna, Austria
• Start: January 2024
